A Message from Our Pastor
For more than sixty years, Calvary Baptist Church has been a spiritual home to Christian people in Trinity. It continues to be a place of growth, fellowship, and service. With Christ as our head, we have always been a people seeking to live out our lives as His disciples and according to His word, the Bible. Our church is comprised of Christian brothers and sisters who are joined together on a common pilgrimage. We believe God intended life to be lived in community. While our worship services are great for worship and hearing the Word of God, our small group Sunday School classes are where lives of faith are lived out. It’s where we build close relationships, bear one another’s burdens, and wrestle with our fears, doubts and what it means to follow Jesus in our daily lives. Some of our classes are based on common phase of life (seniors, singles, etc), some are organized around a particular study topic (prayer, generosity, etc). If you’d like to know more about our current classes, want to visit a class or have any other questions, just ask one of our greeters stationed at the church entry doors.
Children’s Ministry
Jesus said "Let the little children come to me." One of Calvary Baptist Church’s primary goals is to lead children to Jesus. Children’s Sunday School is a fun, up-beat class that includes music, games and a Bible lesson. It’s for kids 3 years old through 5th grade.
Heart of Faith
We believe our youth are not just the church of tomorrow but the church of today! Our youth Sunday School group is for middle school and high school students. For more information about upcoming activities, check for postings here.
Pastor's Class
The pastor's class was designed for new Christians, new church members, and others who want to grow stronger in their faith and knowledge of God's Word.
Partner's Class
The Partner's Class is for married couples and others who want to dig deeper in the Word. When the class was established, it was for older couples. Over the years, this group has modified its membershiip, but not its name. We are open to anyone who wishes to join us in Bible study. Currently, we are working through the Bible in a three-year plan of study. Richard King is the teacher.
Mary Martha Class
The members of the Mary Martha Class are women of all ages, single, married and widowed who support each other in all stages of life by sharing the Word and love of Jesus.
